In November of 1978, history was made. Finally after more than a year of
waiting, the Star Wars saga would continue.
They should have waited longer.
The Star Wars Holiday Special was aired once and never seen again. There is a reason for this. Its bad. Its just not bad, its terrible, downright painful to watch. Though during its original airing, this 6 year old Jedi in training loved it.
Looking back, I think that if I had the time, I could probably edit this 2 hour montrosity down to a 45 minute piece that is really nice. The Special revolves around Chewbacca's Family awaiting his arrival for the Wookie Holiday of Life Day. Of course Han and Chewie run into trouble along the way and are delayed. A series of Video calls to ask about them give the other stars of Star Wars their chance to appear.
Of course the part that everyone still talks about is the animated short,
in wich we saw for the first time, the mysterious Boba Fett. Below, I
