On a bright spring day
A look in her eyes
Breath out, relaxing
Raindrops are falling
The sun breaks the clouds
A tree's reflection
the sun is biting my eyes
the wind bites my skin.
This is a cooperative Haiku I wrote with my very dear friend Kelly.
Each of us write a haiku taking the theme of the previous poem. If you
read it, you'll get the idea. Kelly's is the first one and we alternate
The way I feel when
you touch me in my daydreams
feels incredible
Daydreams are fleeting
a vapor taste on the tongue
your touches endure.
Your touches are not
Skin to skin contact; only
Words and thoughts to me.
Words and thoughts have weight
when joined with true emotion
and ink on the page
I set pen to page
Desperate to put my thoughts down,
To send them to you.
Desperation, no
our hearts are always touching
loneliness unknown.
Loneliness visits
Desperation close behind
My phone rings; its you.
Conversations long
into the night 'till morning
gives me contentment
When I reached the end
Of my emotional rope
You are there for me
Emotions are rope
Binding us together here
Never can be torn
In a former life
You and I were torn apart
to be rejoined now
Joined in the spirit
Awaiting perfect union
Joined with our flesh
There will come a day
nothing will keep us apart
Joined body and soul
that cuts deep into my soul
makes my breath take pause.
the universe forms inside
Breath in, it is me.
outside my window tonight
tears escape my eyes.
daylight sent from the heavens
rmoved; the sun hides.
in the glass of a window
also grows with time
